AELA’s Creative Conversations: with Merete Megarrity and Renata Buziak

Date: April 12, 2023
Time: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

AELA’s Earth Arts program connects with artists and creatives around Australia, and in 2023/2024 we’re inviting amazing artists to share stories about their work and what inspires them.

On 12 April, please join us for a fantastic conversation with artists Merete Megarrity and Renata Buziak, about their nature-inspired arts practice. Facilitated by Dr Michelle Maloney, AELA’s Co-founder and National Convenor.

Merete is a visual artist and Doctor of Visual Arts candidate at the Queensland College of Art, Meanjin. Her research explores the intersection between sculpture, installation, sound, video, ecology, and art history and focuses on how an installation practice can help an audience make kin with the more-than-human in the context of environmental breakdown.
