2026 Kinship - Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate

Welcome! You can submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in AELA’s “Kinship 2026” Program BELOW.

Everyone is welcome to participate in one or more ways – just fill out the form once with your contact information, then select the ways you’d like to participate and provide the relevant details. The Earth Arts Team will respond to you within 7 work days of receiving your submission, to let you know if your proposed creative works and/or activities have been accepted for the program.

Before submitting your EOI, please be sure to read the information about the different elements of the Kinship Program, via our Invitation to Participate webpage. Please be sure to check the closing dates for submissions, as the closing date for each element/pathway may be different.

Usage of Generative AI and AI tools

AELA, Kinship, and Generative AI

The celebration of the living world is the reason for the existence (the raison d'etre) of AELA's Earth Arts program in general, and Kinship 2026 in particular.

'Kinship' is about recognising the interconnectedness of human life, non-human life, and the life-support systems of the extraordinary world in which we all exist.

It is for these reasons that Kinship 2026 considers submissions (whether text-based or visual) created wholly or in part by Generative AI to be ineligible for consideration.

AELA's capacity for Generative AI detection is not comprehensive. We hope that our supporters recognise the contradiction of celebrating a life-sustaining world with Generative AI, and refrain from submitting Generative AI assisted or created works.
