Carol Khan
Carol's arts practice over the last 40 years has taken her from mural to miniature, portraits to thangkas, costume design and textile art. She has achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Phillip Institute and a Diploma of Education: Art, Victoria College, Melbourne, a Certificate of Mental Health: Art Therapy ,University of Queensland and a Diploma of Counselling from Australian College of Applied Psychology. in Brisbane, and has worked in the fields of teaching and of disability for 30 years.
She has shown her fine art in Melbourne Art Galleries, curated a 40ft ceramic and landscape mural in Tennant Creek, exhibited her fine art and ceramics across Brisbane. More recently has shown a collection of aerial miniature paintings and sculptures at Flying Arts, she is a published author of poetry, children's stories and is passionate about the protection of cultural and environmental diversity.
Currently her outdoor ceramic work is driven by personal history narrative and includes figurative elements inspired by natural wonder and dream scapes, also refers to cultural diversity and is reflective of the human condition.
